8 Game Reviews

I absolutely hated but also loved this.

I hate it because being a person with pretty bad anxiety, all the lights and colors and sounds and especially going from essentially silence to something so jarring actually almost threw me into a panic attack
but gotta say I loved it because it was really surreal and creepy and I kind of adore that aesthetic.. and well it was a good depiction of anxiety.

I love puzzles a lot so I saw the game through but I have to be honest it was really lacking. The music was honestly just loud and sort of random and offputting so I had to have it on mute the whole time. Which honestly isn't a big deal for the most part but it's usually preferred to have more relaxing music for games like these? Makes the puzzle solving easier and more focused

My major complaint though is the hit boxes for finding what you needed to click on were extremely tiny for some of the stuff. I had to pixel hunt for a few things, especially moving the bookcase over.. I would have never found it otherwise. That along with having to reuse the word box but it not allowing you to use either word first is problematic.

It's a pretty decent game but there's a lot lacking. At least the art was good.

I was actually really confused reading other reviews, because whenever I was playing, the screen was always just random colors. It didn't show anything at all when I zoomed in, and I just assumed I was supposed to push the button a bunch because that seemed to be the only thing that moved it forward.

I also looked away for maybe about 20 seconds because of my cat and then all of a sudden I see it just zooming out from some numbers or something.

I mean, what I was able to play seemed interesting enough, but there's not really much sound or indication to anything, and the weird screen thing, I'm guessing I missed a lot I should have seen.

The placement of the enemies and such compared to the music seemed very off, it made it difficult to play, especially if the game lagged for even a split second it would throw the entire thing off.
Secondly, I really disliked the whole "kill" thing at the end of the battle part, it seemed a bit obnoxious, but some people might like it. To each their own.
I also didn't really enjoy the battles.. like at all.. I felt they were far too short and just sort of tedious and annoying more than anything. And on that note, the survival was a bunch of fun [other than the placement being an issue] but it actually seemed slow paced to me.. Which was annoying. That mixed with the enemy placement compared to when you need to hit them made the game overall more rage inducing than fun.
One last comment, the blinding sparkle/hit thing on survival from the big combos? I think that should be gotten rid of entirely. It was very jarring and definitely needs an epilepsy warning solely just for that.

I love music based games in general, rhythm or otherwise, but this was overall a drag for me other than the extremely nice visuals.

It's a great start though! Keep up the good work, and get that stuff fixed.

My only concern and only reason why I feel it doesn't deserve a full five stars, is the part with the little kid ghost thingy, it doesn't really give you much idea on what you're supposed to do? I just kept clicking randomly because it doesn't really let you move and I'd turn the light on and off every now and then. It confused me a bit, but then again I can be a little slow unless it's an actual puzzle lol

ALSO WHEN I SAW ROCKY I LITERALLY JUST SAT THERE WITH MY MOUTH WIDE OPEN WHILE IT ZOOMED IN, but the ending made up for my very short mourning I needed for that virtual doggo.

Great game! Keep up the good work.

Sometimes when you barely move the mouse it would slide the things completely off the screen.. I tried refreshing to make sure it wasn't the fact I was using a track pad on my laptop, but it kept doing it..
It's a very minor problem but can make the game a bit difficult when it keeps happening. >x< So I thought I'd let you know.

Overall it's a really good game, and I had a lot of fun playing it.. I'm surprised I haven't played it before! I love puzzle games.

Really good game. It was frustrating at times, but overall good.
Had good dialogue, and nice gameplay...
But the whole size constraint thing? Yeah, pretty sure that's total bullshit so we'll download it on our phones... Newgrounds has a really big size limit.
Sooo.. no thanks.

I mean, it was a good game and all, but that sort of ruined it and made it seem like playing wasn't worth it as much.. I mean, the puzzles made you want to keep going, but that was a really HUGE let down.

Wow this was actually really amazing.
I can't describe every little thing I like about this, even with the large character limit.

This game has a lot of great elements. Sort of like a puzzle platformer, but it has amazing music and great animation as well.
I sort of wanted to know more about the little creature in the bell tower thingy and the guy at the end! Those are literally my only complaints. Overall this was a magnificent game, but there's a few things not noted or left unsaid/unsolved that I can't quite vote 5 stars.

Keep up the good work. This was beautiful and amazing and the music was stellar.
